In the US, marketing and media research company Affinity has hired John Bremer for the new position of Chief Research Officer.

Bremer joins from Harris Interactive where as VP, Global Representativeness, he was responsible for developing the firm’s propensity score weighting technique. He also has extensive experience in international research, product and concept innovation, creation and maintenance of survey methodologies, sampling and weighting techniques, and data fusion, as well as survey design and implementation. He holds an MS in Statistics from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Bremer has been active in professional and industry organizations as a member of the American Statistical Association, the American Marketing Association and the Advertising Research Foundation Quality Metrics Committee. He previously served as a member of the special committee sponsored by the National Science Foundation examining post-election balloting issues.
