And as an analyst, it is imperative to your career progression to be well versed in current and upcoming techniques. Not just SAS/SPSS and the like, but going beyond this and learning different statistical methodologies that will help you move beyond the analyst level. And once you have learned these new techniques, start using them at work. Just learning them is not enough; you need to demonstrate real world experience within the business environment.
