Indian Debut for Iconoculture
Minneapolis, USA-based consumer research and consultancy firm Iconoculture has launched an Indian advisory service.
The firm has had a busy year - in April, its founders left to form a new agency focused on consumer trends in the countries of the G-20, and the following month the firm was acquired by Corporate Executive Board (CEB) for just over $15m. A UK advisory service was launched in July.
The new India Consumer Advisory Service offers strategic consumer insights for India-focused marketing initiatives with support from a team of consumer strategists experienced in consumer demographics and segments.
Vandana Maithani, one of the team leaders, says the new service 'blends a uniquely Indian flavor with the ability to place India in a broader global context'. She comments: 'India continues to be a bewildering market, even for those marketers who have been there for quite some time. India is undergoing a period of change, but regional and cultural identities still remain as strong as ever. To be successful, brands and marketers must understand the cultural nuances and contrasts that coexist in India.'
Iconoculture integrates consumer information from multiple data sources in its proprietary, interactive content hub, IconoIQ, and combines it with expert interpretation and analysis to produce targeted insights. The firm is online at www.iconoculture.co.in .
