iPhone and iPod Touch Options for SODA

Canada-based mobile survey software firm Techneos has released a new edition of its SODA (Survey On Demand Application) solution, for iPhone and iPod Touch platforms.

Dave KingFounded in 1995, Techneos provides mobile survey, customer and enterprise feedback, panel, ethnography and digital diary services for corporates, MR organizations, government and academic institutions.

In the summer, the firm partnered with Ipsos on a joint study - 'The Great British Weekend' - to uncover how consumers use their mobile phones in everyday life.

The SODA mobile survey platform works by downloading apps to mobile phones to run when they are offline, and connects to a wireless network to fetch projects and submit data. This latest upgrade enables it to work across platforms and operating environments representing 94% of the world's smart phone market.

'With installations in over 54 countries, we have clients that choose various platforms based on the needs of the region,' explained CEO Dave King (pictured). 'With the addition of SODA for iPhone and iPod Touch, our customers can now deploy SODA for face-to-face interviews, mobile digital ethnographies and mobile panels on any and all of the major platforms.'

CTO Aaron Pazurik says the platform will open up 'new, innovative, and creative alternatives' for the firm's market research customers.
