DVL Smith Merges with Driving Growth
Following the implementation of a joint venture late last year, market research consultancy DVL Smith Ltd and management consultancy Driving Growth (DGL) have merged. The new company will operate as DVL Smith.
Since November 2010 the two companies have been working together to offer syndicated reports and consultancy services under the name Evolution Research. Now both Directors of DGL - Adam Riley and Jennifer Del Carlo - will become Directors of DVL Smith.
Before starting DGL in 2007 both Riley and Del Carlo worked at the Monitor Group and Del Carlo also worked within the Bain & Company Client Development Group. DGL specialized in the healthcare, financial services and consumer goods sectors.
Former MRS Chairman Smith sees this new move as a 'recasting' of the core DVL business as 'an insight based management consultancy.' He said: 'DVL Smith now bridges the science of market research and the art of strategic marketing consultancy.'
Riley says of the merger: 'We have worked with DVL Smith quite closely for the last 3 years and this merger is a natural progression for both businesses. Both David and I have similar views on the evolution of the market research industry.'
Del Carlo comments: 'Our focus is always on what creates value for our clients. Our newly merged business will challenge staid research models as well as traditional ways of thinking.'
