Ipsos Creates Full Service Agency in Pakistan

Ipsos has set up a new operation in Pakistan, led by former MEMRB Country Head Abdul Sattar Babar, who is supported by a team of 30 full-time marketing and media researchers based in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

Abdul Sattar BabarThe firm says the launch comes in response to the increasing market research needs of numerous multinational brands based in Pakistan - among them, a majority of Ipsos' Global PartneRing key accounts.

Edouard Monin, CEO of Ipsos in MENA, comments: 'This new company will allow Ipsos teams to better serve their local and global clients. It will reinforce the Ipsos presence in the region, and support the numerous multinational clients headquartered in Dubaļ which are requesting more and more research in Pakistan.'

Babar (pictured) joins from Nielsen-owned MEMRB, where he worked for the past six years - latterly as Country Head, Pakistan. Prior to this, he served as Regional Client Service Director, GCC & Iran at Synovate; and worked clientside as Area Coordinator, Marketing Research - South Asia at British American Tobacco. Earlier in his career, Babar was Head of Quantitative Research at Aftab Associates.
