New Lumi COO to Steer Integration

London-based consumer insight technology firm Lumi Mobile has appointed electronics industry exec and former test pilot Pat Moody as Chief Operating Officer, working from Michigan in the US. Moody will play a key role in the integration of newly acquired IML.

Pat MoodyLumi Mobile's proprietary RE4CTOR software is used by researchers to provide an understanding of consumer attitudes, opinion and behaviour, while its real-time Lumi LIVE communication platform is used for interactive meetings, and LumiSURVEY provides a mobile research platform across all major operating systems. Last week, the company announced it is to acquire Computershare subsidiary IML, which specialises in audience response and voting systems.

Moody (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing Lumi's recently enlarged meetings and events business, including both Lumi LIVE and IML. He currently serves as VP of Business Development at commercial electronics product firm Fleetwood Group, where he is responsible for test marketing new technology, exploring acquisition opportunities, and overseeing the sales and marketing team. Earlier, he spent eight years in the US Army as an Officer, aviator and test pilot.

Commenting on the appointment, Lumi Mobile CEO Richard Taylor said: 'This is a very important hire as we set to work integrating our recent, transformational acquisition of IML. Pat's experience will be vital in our task of bringing together two exceptional technology companies with patented processes that complement each other enormously.'
