KXEN Adds Geolocation to Analytics Tool

US predictive analytics specialist KXEN has added geo-location support to its flagship solution InfiniteInsight, to enable clients to send consumers personalized recommendations for nearby outlets such as stores or restaurants.

It's a 'hyper-connected, hyper-mobile world'KXEN is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices across the US and in Paris and London. Its InfiniteInsight solution is used to build predictive models, and a DIY version - called InfiniteInsight Express - enables marketers to build their own predictive models 'in minutes'.

The geo-location capability draws information from new data sources such as phone calls, GPS, machine sensors and social media activity, to enable clients to identify the location of a person or transaction, and translate that data into 'geographic tiles' which can be used to deliver personalized recommendations relating to where that person actually is. The add-on can also detect transactions or events occurring in the same location during the same time period.

Erik Marcade, CTO and co-founder, explains: 'As more people and more devices 'plug in' to the Internet, we're seeing that valuable location-based data can be applied to many predictive modeling scenarios. Geo-location provides a new level of insight about individual or machine behavior, making it increasingly important in today's hyper-connected, hyper-mobile world.'
