Arbitron Leaders 'to Leave' Post Nielsen Takeover

Following the Nielsen acquisition, a number of Arbitron's execs are said to be leaving the company, including CFO Debra Delman. It is also rumoured that Arbitron CEO Sean Creamer will be leaving at the end of the year.

Debra DelmanThe $1.26 billion deal closed on Monday, with Nielsen CEO David Calhoun predicting $20m in future 'cost synergies' in the next few months.

Delman (pictured) joined Arbitron last year, having previously served as SVP, Strategic Operations and Finance for National Public Radio, and before this, as SVP and CFO for Discovery Networks International, and Corporate VP, Finance at Hearst-Argyle Television.

Creamer was promoted from the post of Arbitron COO to CEO in January, having been with the firm since 2005. Prior to this, he was VP and CFO of NASDAQ-listed Laureate Education.

Both Delmar and Creamer are reported to have negotiated 'golden parachute' agreements prior to the Nielsen sale.
