IdeaScale Buys Crowdsourcing/Funding Firm IdeaVibes
Seattle-based innovation and idea management software company IdeaScale has acquired Canadian crowdsourcing platform IdeaVibes for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2010 by CEO Paul Dombowsky, Ottawa-based IdeaVibes builds both crowdsourcing and crowdfunding apps, to help organizations tap into the opinions and resources of the crowd. The firm's Fundchange platform is used by charities to obtain funding one project at a time.
IdeaScale says the acquisition will extend its presence to Canada. CEO Rob Hoehn (pictured) adds: 'The Ideavibes platform already offers amazing embeddable capabilities that tally with our mission to innovate everywhere at every level. We are excited to bring that great experience to more organizations and help them achieve their innovation goals.'
