IAB Aus Hires Lisa Walsh to Replace Gai Le Roy

In Australia, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has appointed media research exec Lisa Walsh as Director of Research, replacing Gai Le Roy who stepped down in February.

Lisa WalshWalsh (pictured) joins from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where she worked for more than thirteen years, most recently as Head of Insights. Prior to this, she spent more than a decade working for Nielsen in media research and consumer marketing.

In her new role, Walsh will drive IAB's programs to stimulate online and mobile display and search investment, by standardising and simplifying online audience and media measurement; while also developing and co-ordinating existing research projects. Le Roy is now working as an independent consultant in Sydney.

CEO Alice Manners comments on the appointment: 'Lisa is an exceptional addition to the IAB team, bringing extensive experience and expertise in the media research environment. She will be working closely with the team to ensure IAB's research efforts continue to assist the industry with insights into consumer behaviour, technology, brand, multi-channel marketing, measurement and analytics'.
