Gain Theory Appoints New Worldwide CEO

Year-old WPP consultancy Gain Theory has promoted Manjiry Tamhane to the role of Worldwide CEO. She succeeds Jason Harrison, who is moving to lead the new GroupM agency Team Arrow Partners.

Manjiry TamhaneGain Theory brings together analytics, technology solutions and consumer research capabilities from around the group, to help businesses integrate, plan and model marketing decisions. Specifically, its team addresses problems associated with drawing useful information from an expanding set of data and new technology; confusion around terminology and jargon; and the need for faster, smarter predictive insights.

Tamhane (pictured) joined when the company launched, as Worldwide Chief Operating Officer and CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Prior to this, she spent more than eight years at marketing response agency Ohal, where she was Global MD. Earlier, she worked for Debenhams for more than a decade, latterly as Customer Management Controller, and she was an Analyst at Penhaligon's.

In her new role, Tamhane will be responsible for all Gain Theory regions, setting the vision and strategy, and leading global client relationships.
