Simmons Promotes and Hires in New York

In New York, consumer insights firm Simmons Research has promoted Jackie Anderson to the role of Chief Client Officer, while Lois Brennan and Grant Ligon join as Account Directors.

Founded in 1952 by Willard Simmons as Simmons Market Research Bureau, and now owned by Symphony Technology, the firm measures consumer preferences, attitudes and media behavior by overlaying survey and passive data using advanced measurement sciences. Anderson (pictured) joined a year ago as VP of Custom Research, having previously worked at Experian as Senior Director, Custom Research, and held senior roles at JD Power, Forrester and Cogent Research. In her new role, she will lead the firm's client strategy, bringing together both the syndicated and custom sales teams, as well as the client engagement team. She will also oversee a senior leadership client sponsorship program, aligning senior leaders with clients. Chief Scientist, Steven Millman, will take over Anderson's former Custom Research responsibilities.

Separately, Brennan joins after roles at Power Up Software, Macworld Magazine and Forrester Research, and most recently sold advisory and consulting services for a boutique research-based advisory firm, Digital Clarity Group. Ligon joins with twenty years of experience helping companies get the most out of both syndicated and custom research solutions, at a variety of companies including Millward Brown, Jupiter Media Metrix, and most recently Invoke.
