In New York, information solutions giant Experian Marketing Services has hired MR industry veteran Pasquale (Pat) Pellegrini for the newly created role of Chief Research Officer and General Manager.
Last week, Experian's Marketing Services division added new features to its insights and analytics Suite including addressable advertising and predictive intelligence tools powered by the group's massive consumer database.
Pellegrini (pictured) joins from GfK Custom Research North America, where he led the Digital Market Intelligence and Media & Entertainment teams. Prior to this he held leadership positions at the Weather Network, comScore, Arbitron (now Nielsen Audio), TNS Media Research (now Kantar), and BBM Canada (now Numeris).
In his new role, Pellegrini will lead Experian's Measurement Science teams, developing cross-channel measurement science solutions connecting consumer views and behavior. Nigel Wilson, MD of Consumer Insights, comments: 'Pat is a well-respected research industry veteran, and his leadership will play a key role in advancing our measurement science methodologies to ensure data-quality performance and innovation for our clients'.
