Collins Joins Askia as Chief Customer Officer

UK-based research software firm Askia has appointed former FocusVision EMEA MD Richard Collins as its first Chief Customer Officer, managing and developing the company's international client base, and taking overall responsibility for the UK office.

Richard CollinsEstablished in 1994 by former BMRB consultant Jerome Sopocko, Askia offers a full suite of products for questionnaire design; data collection via CATI, CAWI, and CAPI; and analysis - as well as user training and technical support. Collins (pictured) joins from video data tech company Big Sofa, where he also served as Chief Customer Officer. He began his career in sales and account management roles for Quantime, SPSS and PulseTrain, leaving the last of these at the end of 2007 to join Confirmit where he was Partner/Alliance Director - EMEA. From here, he joined US-based MR tech company Decipher, establishing its first overseas office, and became a Director and then MD of what became Decrypt, due to a dispute over UK use of the Decipher name. When the parent company was acquired by FocusVision in early 2015, he became the larger group's MD for EMEA.
