MRSS India Adds CSR and Regional Leaders

MRSS India has announced three more senior appointments. Dr. Mridula Savitri Mishra joins as Research Director, Social Research Practices; Ms. Geeta Sachar as SVP (Head South Region) and Ms. Ruma Sengupta as SVP focusing on western India.

Established in 2012, the company is a subsidiary of Asian firm MMRSS and offers a wide range of tech focused market research services including eye tracking, mobile analytics, video analysis, online communities and neuroscience. Last month, the company / its parent opened a Social Media Insights practice, and appointed Priyanko Sinha as 'Client Servicing Director - Social Insights'.

Among the latest arrivals, Mishra (pictured right) brings more than fifteen years' experience in research, much of it in academia. She holds a PhD and an ME in Internet Technology and e-Business, both from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, (BITS), Pilani. Her field-based research has focused on retail management, social media and CRM, and she has published a number of papers in peer reviewed national and international journals.

Sengupta's eighteen years of research experience include two years at ORG-MARG Research, five at Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare as Head of Consumer Insight and Head of Marketing, Sales; and more recent spells at Synovate and MPG / Havas Media. Her sector experience includes FMCG, pharma, OTC and films.

Sachar (pictured left) spent the last four years as VP Marketing at financial services firm Geosansar Advisors, and the previous six as Head of brand Audit at ebergy, metals and mining company Essar Group. Before this she worked in senior roles at Nielsen and Research International, either side of three years running her own consultancy, Qual Search.

MRSS India Chairman Raj Sharma, welcomed the three: 'Dr. Mridula will jump start our foray into CSR Market Research whereas Ruma will be handling western India while Geeta will lead the South'.
