PRS IN VIVO Launches Packaging Evaluator

In the US, global shopper insights and packaging analysis specialist PRS IN VIVO has launched an automated, web-based service called PackFlash, to help clients quickly evaluate new packaging designs for both 're-stages' and new products.

Scott BrillFounded in 1972 by Scott Young and owned by BVA Group, PRS IN VIVO applies behavioral science to understand shopping behavior and influence consumers' choices. Its new PackFlash tool has been developed to speed up design systems within a full shelf context; drawing on the company's methodologies and normative database, with results available within just a few days. The solution joins a portfolio of tools including the AI Pack Screening Model, which applies data mining, artificial intelligence and an expert review process to screen new packaging concepts; and the behavioral science-based PackCept concept screener, which allows brands to test new product concepts in the context of the pack, the shelf and the shopping experience, earlier in the NPD process.

Company VP Scott Brill (pictured) explains: 'We know that marketers need to make packaging decisions at accelerated speeds - based on agile and iterative learnings. But they also want the confidence that these solutions are linked to reliable behavioral methods and insights. PRS IN VIVO's experience in pack research, along with our normative data, make us uniquely qualified to provide both speed and expertise'.
