Escalent Names New CFO
US firm Escalent, formerly Market Strategies International-Morpace, has appointed Stan Stec as Chief Financial Officer, leading its finance, accounting, contracts and legal functions.
 The agency, which combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a visualization toolset, was formed when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged last summer by private equity firm STG (Symphony Technology Group). Then two months ago the merged company - headquartered in Livonia, MI, USA - was rebranded as Escalent.
Stec joins from software and service integration firm Cleo, where he served as CFO, overseeing all finance and operations, including internal and external reporting, budgeting, contract negotiations, operations and departmental business analysis. He has also served as CFO and in other leadership roles at SDI, NewNet Communication Technologies, Jones Lang LaSalle and IBM.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Melissa Sauter said: 'Stan is a seasoned finance leader known for driving change and growing global companies. He is a perfect fit for our executive team, and we couldn't be more thrilled that he is joining at a very exciting time as we enter our next phase of growth'.
