Affle Acquires App Retargeting Specialist Jampp

New Delhi, India-based consumer intelligence platform Affle has acquired programmatic marketing company Jampp, which specialises in retargeting mobile app customers. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Martín Añazco and Diego MellerThe Jampp platform uses contextual and behavioural signals to deliver in-app engagements and help app marketers acquire new users. Using predictive models from billions of data points, the firm's machine learning algorithms promise to put the most relevant content in front of the right person at the right time. Jampp was launched in 2013 by Diego Meller and Martín Añazco, (who previously co-founded research firm Livra Panels and sold it to Ipsos in 2008). The firm is headquartered in San Francisco and also operates from Berlin, Singapore, São Paulo, London and Buenos Aires.

The deal follows Affle's acquisition of mobile programmatic and proximity measurement firm Mediasmart last year, and takeover of mobile marketing and re-targeting platform RevX in 2019. Anuj Khanna Sohum, Chairman, MD and CEO at Affle, points to a number of complementary strengths with the two firms' platforms, and says the acquisition will allow Affle to scale its business in markets including the US and LATAM.

Meller comments: 'We are thrilled to join forces with Affle and see this as a transformative milestone for our company. This deal will strengthen our technology, accelerate growth and position us to achieve a greater global scale. I would like to thank our team, customers and partners for their continued support and look forward to our long-term collaboration together with Affle, driving fast-paced innovation in this ecosystem'.
