LiveRamp Promotes Sharma for New Global Revenue Role

Enterprise data connectivity and analytics platform LiveRamp has promoted Vihan Sharma to the newly created role of EVP of Global Revenue. Meanwhile Diego Panama will step down as Chief Commercial Officer, to pursue an opportunity outside the organization.

Vihan SharmaLiveRamp was acquired by Acxiom Corporation in 2014, but by 2018 had become such a key part of it that Acxiom sold its original Marketing Solutions business (AMS) to marcoms giant Interpublic Group for $2.3bn in cash, with the remaining unit taking the LiveRamp name. Its Safe Haven privacy-first data collaboration platform enables secure, permission-enabled data sharing for brands and their partners.

Sharma (pictured) joined seven years ago, and currently serves as SVP of Safe Haven and MD Europe. He spent the previous nine years at Acxiom, where he latterly served as MD for France, and Director Product Management, Europe; before which, he was Panel Development Manager at Ciao! In his expanded role, Sharma will oversee all global commercial functions, including in the US, while continuing to serve as MD of Europe. This appointment is part of LiveRamp's new leadership structure, that will unite the company's global sales force.

CEO Scott Howe comments: 'Vihan has been integral to LiveRamp's European growth and operations, as well as the success of our Safe Haven business, where he has overseen significant milestones including expanding to multiple industries across retail and CPG, media, telecommunications, and financial services. We are grateful for Vihan's leadership and look forward to further benefiting from his expertise as we build on the strong momentum underway with our enterprise platform.'

Panama is to leave the business after joining eight years ago as MD, Strategic Accounts, and having earlier held multiple product and sales roles at Microsoft.
