New CEO for Restaurant Sector Analyst Personica

In the US, restaurant sector marketing and analytics platform Personica has appointed Adam Ochstein as Chief Executive Officer, replacing interim CEO John Ouren. The firm has also completed a round of growth recapitalization.

Adam OchsteinOwned by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG), and formerly known as Fishbowl, Personica offers a platform known as Engage, providing CRM, loyalty and digital data reports; and software for competitive intelligence, price, menu optimization and promotion analytics. The Personica Loyalty program complements the company's suite of marketing products, with features including direct POS integration for real-time redemption data, customized and automated campaign builders, and custom branded mobile apps.

Ochstein (pictured) previously worked at point-of-sale and management system Toast, where he served as Head of Strategy, prior to which he co-founded and served as CEO of restaurant industry HR/payroll platform StratEX (sold to Toast in 2019). In his new role, Ochstein takes over from Ouren, who became interim CEO last year, after Andrew Feigenson left to become CEO of Advertising Intelligence at Kantar/Numerator.

Marc Bala, Personica Board Member and Managing Director at STG, comments: 'We are thrilled to introduce Adam as the new CEO of Personica. Adam has an outstanding track record of strong leadership. His entrepreneurial style, experience selling to the restaurant vertical and proven experience in driving innovation through software uniquely qualifies him to successfully lead Personica into the future'.

Separately, Personica has completed growth recapitalization, led by existing investor STG and funds and accounts managed by new equity investor BlackRock. The investment will be used for further product development, to scale go-to-market processes, and to fuel growth.
