Kynetec Launches AgMeta Market Insight Platform

Agricultural and animal health insights firm Kynetec has launched a platform called 'AgMeta', providing insight to help commercial teams plan, target and track sales in the seed and crop protection market.

With a local presence across 30 countries and working regularly in more than 80, the firm's specialist areas include animal health and nutrition, crop protection, farm machinery and equipment, seed/biotech and fertilisers. Currently available in the US, the new AgMeta combines Kynetec's FarmTrak data, sourced from around 25,000 farmers, with analytics using custom-built machine learning algorithms for applications to address 'ag-related' questions. In addition, it integrates external data sources, including those relating to pests, commodity prices and acreage forecasts, providing sales managers and their teams with a 'better perspective' on what is happening in the market and why.

With AgMeta, clients can identify opportunities with non-customer clusters, and access competitive intelligence. Specifically, the tool offers insights on the most relevant sales targets to pursue; overview maps summarizing market share, and market size by product; data on competitor products for like-for-like comparisons; and market data to set targets at a country level. It also delivers zoom-in maps on cropping per country; views of total acres by geography, cultivated acres, and rotations; percentage growth of both volume and market share; and insights into distributor share; along with export sales targets in excel files.
