Social Media Intel Firm Meltwater Adds Two in APAC

Social media intelligence and analytics specialist Meltwater has appointed Huixian Yang as Customer Experience Director (APAC), based in Singapore, while Sydney-based Jeff Piniros has been named Sales Development Director (APAC).

Meltwater analyses more than one billion pieces of online content each day, for PR, communications and marketing professionals. Its Enterprise Intelligence suite uses AI, natural language processing, computer vision and inference models to provide a unified view of datasets across media, user-generated content, influencer metrics, business intelligence and first-party data.

Yang joins with more than a decade of experience in customer experience at tech brands such as Google, SAP, Microsoft and Fuji-Xerox. In her new role she will bring her data-driven approach to deliver 'customer excellence' and shape Meltwater's global customer success framework. Piniros previously worked at Salesforce, latterly as Senior Manager Business Development; having earlier held sales positions at Gartner, Oracle and Dell. He will now be responsible for pipeline generation to drive revenue and growth goals, while nurturing the company's sales talent.
