New Chief for Marketing Data Firm Wiland

In Colorado, marketing data firm Wiland has appointed former FordDirect, IHS Markit and R.L. Polk exec Mike Gingell as as its new CEO.

Mike GingellWiland's data and audience products tap into what the firm describes as 'the largest set of detailed, individual-level spending signals ever assembled'. This resource is analysed by an AI-enabled response prediction platform to help clients target their marketing initiatives across 'all addressable channels'. Last summer the company launched Wiland View, a suite of products promising to help clients predict who will buy from 'any brand' across multiple sectors.

The Board says Gingell's appointment underlines its commitment to 'building a strategic leadership team whose competencies and experiences are aligned to anticipate and swiftly execute on potential future opportunities' - specifically by building stronger client relationships, expanding services, attracting new clients, making more use of new technologies, and building on the firm's core data products.

Gingell (pictured) brings more than 30 years of experience in the marketing tech and information industry, including leadership of organisations delivering data and technology solutions for direct-to-consumer organizations, automotive OEMs and retailers, the automotive aftermarket and commercial truck industries, and the finance and insurance markets. Most recently he was COO at FordDirect, and earlier he held global leadership roles at IHS Markit, R.L. Polk & Co., Donnelly Marketing/InfoUSA, and Wiland division Ultimate Data. He has served as an elected Oakland County, Michigan Commissioner for the last seventeen years and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Oakland University and an MBA from Wayne State University.
