Ipsos Completes BVA Buy
Ipsos has completed its acquisition of French-based market research group The BVA Family, and given details of branding of the newly merged teams in Italy, France and the UK.
 The global group says all necessary regulatory requirements have now been fulfilled, including in-depth consultation with employee representatives in France, and approval from the relevant competition authorities.
The buy, first announced in March, represents a significant expansion for Ipsos in France, where it will now operate under the name Ipsos BVA. It also adds new strength in the UK, where BDRC will operate under the Ipsos brand; and Italy, where the name Ipsos Doxa will be used.
Ipsos says BVA brings particular expertise in CX monitoring, point-of-sale behavior analysis, and research for government and public services - as well as methodologies focusing on behavioral sciences. Its expertise in pack testing through PRS IN VIVO is 'a key global strength that can now be rolled out across a much larger geographic footprint by Ipsos.'
