Former Savanta CEO DeRobertis Joins Youth Specialist
In Washington, D.C., youth surveys and data company Generation Lab has appointed former Savanta CEO Vin DeRobertis as its new President. The firm is preparing to launch a behavioral data offering which it says will compete with synthetic data.
Generation Lab is dedicated to understanding young people through a combination of nationally representative surveys and data-gathering technology, including its proprietary behavioral AI platform Verb AI. The firm's results are widely cited by the press, including CNBC, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
DeRobertis (pictured) brings experience in strategic leadership, business transformation and client-centric growth. He served as Americas CEO of Next15 group insights division Savanta when the company was formed in 2019, took over as interim Global CEO a year ago and returned to the Americas role in July. Earlier in his career he worked for Research Now in roles including SVP of Global Healthcare.
In his new role he will guide the company's strategic growth, strengthen client partnerships, and scale its emerging technology initiatives both organically and via acquisition. This includes the roll-out of Verb AI, whose tracker software is downloaded on panelists' phone, tablet or computer, and captures 'nearly everything they do on their device,' feeding it back in a structured format to Generation Lab's clients, while compensating the panelist for their data.
Co-founder Cyrus Beschloss comments: 'Vin's got the talent, drive, experience and wisdom to lead us into a great new chapter. This puts us in position to officially launch our 'anti-synthetic' data-gathering protocol.'
