Fairgen Adds Data Quality Tool
Synthetic data company Fairgen has released Fairgen Check, a new feature promising insights teams better protection against fraud and low-quality responses.
 The Tel Aviv-based firm was founded by students from Imperial College London, and has partnered with BVA BDRC in the launch of its own synthetic data tool, Pixel AI. Its flagship solution FairBoost trains an AI model exclusively on the customer's survey data, teaching it the relationship between the different surveyed groups, and can extrapolate from the larger groups to create new responses for niche groups, boasting 'mathematically guaranteed' statistical accuracy.
The new Fairgen Check acts as a final gatekeeper after data collection, combining statistical anomaly detection with advanced language models to scan and assess datasets, for a 'transparent, scalable approach to quality control.' The process involves three integrated layers: the first applies statistical and behavioral models to detect quantitative anomalies such as erratic response patterns, speeders and straightliners; the second scans open-ended responses for irrelevance, duplication, gibberish, and AI-generated text; and the third introduces an agentic, GPT-like quality inspector which the firm says 'understands the questionnaire, highlights inconsistencies, and surfaces contradictions often missed in manual review.'
