Kantar Media Hires Petra for Combined Tech/Ops Role
In London, Kantar Media has announced the appointment of long-time Nielsen researcher Toni Petra as Chief Operations and Technology Officer, bringing together the two teams under one leader. She starts on 1st April.
Kantar Media operates in more than 60 markets and offers audience measurement, cross-media analytics and media validation tools. The firm was sold last summer to London-based investment firm H.I.G. Capital, with the divestment reducing Kantar's total revenue by around 15%. Kantar Media appointed Rainer Fuchs as CFO in September, and former WPP Chief Exec Mark Read as Chairman of its new Board of Directors, in November.
Petra joined Nielsen soon after graduating and has worked for more than thirty-one years, across five different countries, latterly as an EVP based in Lugano in Switzerland. Her roles have covered operations, technology, strategy and enterprise transformation, driving a wide array of strategic initiatives including new market launches, new business unit strategies and big data integrations.
Kantar Media CEO Patrick Béhar comments: 'I am delighted to welcome Toni to our leadership team. She is a trusted leader in our industry and will be an invaluable shaper of Kantar Media's transformation journey. Bringing together our amazing Operations and Technology teams, two fundamental pillars of our business, under Toni will help us deliver the very best for our clients and partners across the globe.'
