NIQ Brandbank Expands RangeMe Product Data Partnership

NIQ has announced and expanded partnership between its Brandbank unit and product discovery and sourcing platform RangeMe. The new deal enhances the platform's verified product data, helping retail buyers 'identify innovation' with greater speed and clarity.

Josh WalkerBrandbank was acquired by Nielsen in 2015, and provides digital product content solutions to help clients in 39 countries to optimise omnichannel shopping experiences, drawing on Nielsen's 25 years of experience in the field. The RangeMe partnership was announced last March, promising to help retailers and buyers easily identify and source products that meet evolving shopper health trends - including Gluten-Free and No Sugar Added categories.

Brandbank says retailers are under pressure to quickly pinpoint items that meet very specific consumer needs beyond basic nutrition, and that verified attribute data 'has become central to that process.' The latest expansion, which taps data both from NIQ Brandbank data and NIQ Product Insights (NPI), means RangeMe now surfaces a broader set of wellness and functional attributes, allowing retail buyers to filter for high interest segments, including High Protein, Probiotics & Prebiotics, No Added Sugar / Low Sugar, and GLP 1 Friendly; to search for additional qualified and stated claims; and to better identify brands aligned to rapidly evolving shopper priorities.
