GDCC Buys German Fieldwork Firm from Kantar
Dutch-based data collection firm GDCC has announced the acquisition of fieldwork company Telquest, from Kantar Germany, giving it 'a strong and immediate foothold in Germany for high-quality telephone-based data collection.'
Founded in 1998, GDCC is headquartered in Rotterdam with five other global offices, including locations in the US, London and Istanbul, and provides agencies with fieldwork in more than forty languages.
Telquest is focused on CATI interviewing within Germany and has particular expertise in social and public research projects, as well as complex B2B research. GDCC says Telquest's deep local market knowledge, experienced interviewer base and established operational infrastructure will make it a key asset.
Following the deal, Telquest will operate under the GDCC umbrella, promising continuity for existing clients while benefiting from GDCC's broader resources, tech and geographical coverage. Global CEO Kees-Jan Mars says the two companies are 'a natural fit,' and comments: 'Telquest's strong position in Germany, particularly in social and public research, significantly strengthens our European offering. This acquisition allows us to better support our clients with high-quality telephonic fieldwork in Germany, backed by local expertise and international reach.'
