Senior Change for Cardlytics

In Atlanta, purchase intelligence platform Cardlytics has appointed Chris Cheng as Chief Legal Officer, effective August 3rd, overseeing its Legal and Compliance organization and with a seat on the leadership team.

Chris ChengThe firm imports data from around 215 million consumers and has access to half of all card-based transactions in the US, and a quarter in the UK, allowing it to analyse around $5.8 trillion in annual consumer spend. Analysis of this helps advertisers target, engage and measure relevant shoppers at scale, and deliver personalized cash back offers based on their spending history. Last year a successful cost management program allowed the company to quadruple its profit despite revenue falling more than 16%.

Cheng (pictured) brings more than 20 years of legal leadership experience at high-growth technology companies, including Zoom, Uber, Upwork, eBay, and most recently Iterable, where he was Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. He replaces Nick Lynton, who left the company this month.

According to CEO Amit Gupta, 'Bringing Chris onto our leadership team is a reflection of the momentum Cardlytics is building. His background spanning some of the most dynamic companies in technology, combined with his sound business judgement and collaborative approach, make him the right partner as we execute our next chapter.'
