PeakMetrics Links GEO, Other Narrative Analysis

In Los Angeles, 'narrative intelligence' company PeakMetrics has announced the launch of a GEO solution called AI Perceptions, promising help for communications teams in understanding and improving how their brands are represented across the main AI platforms.

Nick LouiPeakMetrics is used by governments, corporates and agencies to monitor and analyse the spread of Internet narratives, providing answers to questions such as Why is this narrative spreading? What is driving it? Is it organic or engineered? And Which audiences are losing trust - and why? In April, it closed a $6 million Series A round of funding, with which to further development its product and drive expansion.

The firm says answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity are shaped by the same news coverage, social media conversations, online communities and emerging narratives already tracked and influenced by PR and comms teams. AI Perceptions places the two side by side - measuring I-generated brand perceptions in the same place as news, social media, and other online data sources.

The new analysis tracks AI perception 'at the narrative level,' allowing teams to see which narratives are emerging around their brand, how they are spreading across the information environment, when they begin surfacing in LLM responses, and how they eventually change the way AI represents the brand. Intelligence provided includes brand favorability, key messages, trust and competitive positioning across LLMs; the top searched questions around brands, products and competitors; what narratives, citations and sources drive AI responses; trends over time; and potential for earned media, messaging, and other PR efforts to impact the narrative.

'AI is becoming one of the first places people go to learn about a company,' says Nick Loui, CEO and co-founder of PeakMetrics, 'and what it says about your brand is being shaped by everything happening around you online. If a new narrative starts taking off in the news or on social media, we want teams to be able to see when that starts showing up in AI answers too. More importantly, they need to understand what's driving it and where they can actually do something about it. That's the gap we built AI Perceptions to solve.'
