Zeta Buys Dutch Data Company Digital Audience
Zeta Global has agreed to acquire Amsterdam-based Digital Audience, a data infrastructure company focused on identity and activation. Zeta says the buy will help clients drive action based on its customer intelligence, enabling 'more connected and measurable engagement.'
Zeta is headquartered in NYC with offices worldwide, and was founded in 2007 by David A. Steinberg and former Apple CEO John Sculley. Its Marketing Cloud, launched in 2018, combines identity, intelligence and omnichannel activation, backed by one of the industry's largest proprietary databases. For the full year 2025 the firm posted annual revenue up 29.7% to $1,305m.
Digital Audience's software connects what an enterprise knows to AI and carries that intelligence into the channels where it can drive customer action. The firms say this technology is already integrated with Zeta, extending its identity and activation capabilities across all channels, and the buy also brings Zeta an experienced team of data and AI engineers, and an expanded presence in Europe.
'Enterprise intelligence only creates value when it can be put to work and improve outcomes,' says Steinberg (pictured), Zeta's Chairman and CEO. 'Our focus is always helping clients generate a higher return on every dollar they invest, and Digital Audience will help us do exactly that. It will strengthen the infrastructure that carries Zeta's customer intelligence further into the digital ecosystem, helping customers activate what they know more efficiently, engage audiences more effectively across channels, and measure the impact.'
Ruben Niet, CEO and founder of Digital Audience, comments: 'Clients need their data and intelligence to travel with them across channels. By joining Zeta, we can bring our identity and activation capabilities together with one of the industry's deepest sources of customer intelligence, helping enterprises create more connected and measurable engagement.'
