Video Integration Tool Launched

In the US, QualVu - which creates online video research tools - has launched ReportBuilder, an application designed to help researchers utilise online user-generated video for market research.

The new ReportBuilder system enables researchers to review each self-made consumer video recorded in response to research questions, then edit, sort, organize, rate, and download clips. It also includes an online reporting feature where researchers can insert topline findings and display representative user responses.

In addition, ReportBuilder supports video submitted via mobile phones, for use in 'mystery shopper' research projects in which consumers visit retail and other service locations, and then anonymously share videos recorded on their mobile phones with researchers.

'Our customers have told us they need to create video clips of key consumer insights, then download them to share internally and integrate into PowerPoint reports,' explained CTO Rodney Holm. 'We've included these features and more, to allow our customers to download clips in multiple formats including Windows Media, QuickTime, and AVI.'

In February, QualVu secured $750,000 in funding to enhance its web-based video platform which it sells to market research providers, including moderators, quantitative research firms, ad agencies, and online communities (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7951.htm ). The new tool integrates with VideoSurvey and VideoDiary, the firm's existing online suite of video collection applications.

Colorado-based QualVu was founded by CEO John Williamson last year, and is online at www.qualvu.com .
