ORC Launches Small Business Omnibus

Opinion Research Corporation (ORC) has launched Small Business CARAVAN, a shared-cost US omnibus study which 'checks the pulse' of the small business community.

Initially conducted monthly, the study will comprise 500 interviews per wave, targeting participants from infoUSA's Small Business database and including financial services, professional services, manufacturing, construction, transportation, communication and wholesale/retail sectors. Small business owners and managers will be asked questions about advertising awareness, brand awareness and usage, reaction to new product concepts, purchase decisions and financial product needs.

The new service ties in with the previously announced partnership between infoUSA and Greenfield Online to create a small business panel of North American B2B decision makers.

'The small business community is a vital component of the US economy and their opinions cannot and should not be overlooked,' said SVP Wayne Russum. 'This new tool will allow clients to gain valuable insight into the issues facing small businesses, as well as learn the most effective ways to communicate with and target this important audience.'

Earlier in the week, infoUSA announced that it will be changing its name to infoGROUP in June. The new title reflects the firm's 'broadening global presence and long-term business strategy'.
