Name Change for infoUSA

Database firm and ORC parent infoUSA will change its name to infoGROUP, effective June 1st. The company says the new name is a better reflection of its ‘broadening global presence and long-term business strategy’.

Based in the US, infoGROUP currently has offices and operations in Canada, the UK, Australia, India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The firm’s recent global expansion has been driven by its acquisitions of several high-profile research companies including Opinion Research Corporation.

The firm says it ‘will look to expand into new markets such as New Zealand and Ireland’, while strengthening operations elsewhere.

‘This is a landmark occasion, as we further redefine the company into a true global enterprise’, comments Vin Gupta, Chairman, CEO and Founder of infoGROUP. ‘The opportunities are limitless and we are extremely well positioned for a foundation of success overseas, much as we have demonstrated stateside.’
