Word of mouth (WOM) technology provider Bazaarvoice has appointed Andy Leaver as International Vice President, to grow its European and Asian operations. He will be based in the firm’s UK office. Leaver previously led the EMEA team at performance management software business, SuccessFactors. Before this, he spent six years at spend management software company Ariba as EMEA VP. In his new role, Leaver will be responsible for increasing the number of offices in each territory, hiring staff and growing the collection of brands that work with the company. ‘Andy has a tremendous amount of experience in building successful global companies. He’s a very strategic hire as we rapidly expand existing operations across Europe and Asia,’ said founder and CEO Brett Hurt. Founded in 2005, US-headquartered Bazaarvoice helps brands to incorporate social commerce technologies into their e-commerce offerings. Last year, the company introduced QuickTake, a social navigation tool to assist clients’ product merchandising and advertising strategies.
