Wom UK | August 18 2009 |
In London, word-of-mouth (WoM) trade body Wom UK has appointed Molly Flatt as its new President.
Wom UK was founded to represent the word-of-mouth marketing industry, and members include Nielsen, Edelman, the IPA, Unilever, Royal Mail and The Guardian. The body aims to promote WoM best practice and ethical guidelines, and help agencies and clients keep up with developments and methodologies.
Flatt is currently WoM ‘Evangelist’ at social media agency 1000heads, which provides brands with intelligence about on- and offline consumer conversations.
Commenting on her appointment, Flatt said: ‘On a personal level, I'm massively excited about helping make Wom UK an inspiring and active place for WoM practitioners and clients…’, adding that her ambition is to ensure the industry is ‘visible, valued and continually innovating.’
The first meeting of the new Wom council has taken place today.
