The Nielsen Company in India has announced the appointment of Sandeep Ranade as Director, Client Solutions, Consumer Research.

Based out of Mumbai, Ranade will report to Prasun Basu, Nielsen’s Executive Director, Consumer Research and Vice President, BASES, and will focus on partnering with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients.

He brings fourteen years of experience in Market Research and Media Planning, most recently with Heinz India Pvt. Ltd as Senior Manager, Market Research & Media Planning; and previously at companies including Subhiksha Trading Services, TNS India, and IMRB International.

Ranade, who holds a PGDM specializing in Marketing & Finance at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, says he expects a ‘very exciting’ time in the role. He explains: ‘Nielsen CPG business is a challenging one and has some of the most advanced products in Market Research that anyone could ask for.’
