In the US, communications agency Capstrat has hired Jim Hazen as Analytics Director, to help clients establish and analyze offline and online metrics.

Hazen joins with more than nine years’ experience in web marketing, analytics and research. Most recently, he was Web Analytics Manager at PC firm Lenovo, where he led a worldwide team of web analysts, and before this he worked as a Web Metrics Analyst at IBM.

In his new role, Hazen will support Capstrat clients using metrics to help them quantify ROI. He will also use tracking and measurement methodologies to provide data-driven insights about user behaviour to the firm’s web team.

‘Because budgets are scrutinized more than ever, clients tell us they need better justification – in-depth research, measurable success metrics and meaningful results,’ says Cord Silverstein, EVP of Interactive Communications. ‘Jim will deepen our expertise in the critical area of metrics and analytics.’
