ThinkVine
December 16 2009

In the US, ThinkVine – which helps clients align marketing and advertising with consumer behaviour – has appointed Harte-Hanks veteran Don Aicklen as Chief Operating Officer.

Launched in 1999, ThinkVine offers marketing science techniques, which include choice modeling, econometrics, game theory, simulations, and demand forecasting, as well as pricing research and economic analysis. Its flagship ‘Emerging Marketplace’ modeling tool simulates the interactions between different mixes of marketing and consumers in a virtual environment.

During his 28 years with direct marketing giant Harte-Hanks, Aicklen oversaw all national sales and marketing activity, before which he was Group MD responsible for opening and growing new market segments in consumer brands, government/non-profit and automotive. During his career, he also led sales, strategy and client services for retail, technology, and European market groups.

‘Don brings a wealth of experience and sales discipline to ThinkVine,’ said President and CEO Damon Ragusa. ‘As we continue our growth strategy he will be charged with helping us successfully build and manage our sales process and reach our corporate development goals as well as being a great addition to our general leadership team.’

Earlier this year, Cincinnati, Ohio-based ThinkVine secured $1.85m in Series B financing which it is using to double its staff, market its technology internationally, and bolster its R&D effort.
