US full-service agency Gongos Research has promoted Greg Heist to the position of Vice President of Research, Innovation & Technology (RIT). Heist helped form the RIT team in early 2009, to examine how consumers and companies will be using emerging technologies to engage with one another over the next two to five years. The team encompasses three areas of expertise: product management, software development, and IT infrastructure. Members are responsible for the development of the company’s more recent product launches; namely i°Communities, metaCommunities and ConsumerView. ‘With the rapid pace of technology, I have seen our industry change more in the past five years than in the 20 years preceding,’ explains John Gongos, founder and CEO. ‘Greg’s history as a research practitioner allows him to better envision new possibilities with our clients’ goals in mind.’ Heist joined Gongos in 2003 as a Senior Project Director, prior to which, he was a Project Director at Research Data Analysis, and worked as Strategy Development Analyst at GM Truck & Bus Group.
