MENA agency Yahoo! Maktoob Research has appointed Ragheed Masri as Head of Operations in its office in Amman, Jordan. Last Autumn, Yahoo! acquired Maktoob Research’s parent firm, online community Maktoob.com, to deliver Arabic-language content and services, as well as Arabic versions of Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Mail services. The firm, which has since been re-named Yahoo! Maktoob Research, recently launched Arab Eye, an online community aimed at providing a voice for consumers in the Arab world. Masri joins from Ipsos, where for the last year he worked as Operations Manager, responsible for managing the local ops team and coordinating the different regional ops teams. Prior to this, he was a Senior Research Executive with the firm for more than four years. In his new position, Masri will manage the ops efforts and team, while overseeing project transition, project management and project delivery functions, and working closely with clients. ‘Ragheed’s experience in the different research processes and procedures will be a great asset, and will help take the research operations division to the next level,’ stated Yahoo!
