In the US, mobile measurement firm Ground Truth has appointed five new media measurement and interactive media technology veterans to serve on its advisory board. Seattle, Washington-based Ground Truth, which was launched in January by CTO Michael ‘Luni’ Libes, provides census-based measures of actual mobile Internet usage from millions of mobile subscribers across the country. Peter Daboll joins the firm’s advisory board, having spent the past 25 years in executive roles at measurement firms and web companies. He is the former Chief of Insights at Yahoo!, President and CEO of comScore Media Metrix, President at MarketTools, COO for MediaPlan and EVP at Information Resources, Inc (IRI). He is currently CEO of marketing technology firm Bunchball. Usama Fayyad is a serial entrepreneur and scientist in data mining and predictive analytics. He was previously Chief Data Officer and EVP at Yahoo! after his company (DMX Group) was acquired by Yahoo! in 2004. Before this, he was CEO of behavioral targeting firm digiMine (Audience Science), and he led the development of the data mining and exploration group at Microsoft. He is currently CEO of data strategy firm, Open Insights. Before assuming his current role as CEO of predictive analytics firm eBureau, Chris Maher was President of online competitive intelligence provider Hitwise, where he oversaw the company’s global operations and financial performance, culminating in its $250m sale to Experian. Before this, he was VP of Sales at Jupiter Media Metrix. Clark Kokich has worked in the interactive marketing space for the past decade. In 1999, he joined agency Avenue A as President, prior to the firm acquiring Razorfish in 2004, being sold to Microsoft in 2007, and becoming part of the Publicis network last year. He currently leads international expansion and strategic investments as Chairman of Razorfish. Media specialist Henry Lawson previously led IT services firm Donovan Data Systems as President and European CEO. He is currently Executive in Residence at Warburg Pincus, London; Chairman of Cogniti; and member of the advisory boards for Covario and Zumobi. Web site: www.groundtruth.com .
