In New Zealand Nielsen has promoted Amanda Wisniewski to the position of Commercial Director and hired Nick Whitehead as an Account Director, while the firm has transferred Ivan Fuyala to the US to take up the position of Vice President of Portals in New York. For the past two years, Wisniewski was Client Service Director for Nielsen’s online division, where she was responsible for client communication and managing publisher and agency relationships. She previously held senior client service roles in Sydney and Auckland with Nielsen//NetRatings and Nielsen Media Research, and worked with Fairfax Media as a Digital Analyst. In her new role, she will take on responsibility for managing the New Zealand online team, as well as leading the roll-out of Nielsen’s online panel in 2010. ‘Amanda is an experienced media professional with a strong understanding of Internet audience measurement,’ states Fuyala. ‘I am confident she will do a great job leading our New Zealand team and the planned online panel role out.’ Fuyala has been with Nielsen’s online business since 2006, where latterly he was General Manager of the firm’s operation in New Zealand. Prior to this, he held senior roles with publishers such as ACP Media, and launched a number of magazines and web sites.
