Web audience measurement firm Quantcast has appointed former Google executive Julio Pekarovic as Chief Financial Officer and Michael Blum as General Counsel. Both posts are newly created, and report to co-founder and CEO Konrad Feldman. Since it was founded in 2006, Quantcast has raised more than $50m, most recently closing a $27.5m round which it is using to support the roll out of its ‘Quantcast Media Program’ online ad targeting platform. Pekarovic joins from Google, where he worked as VP of Global Sales Finance, responsible for managing sales-related finance operations including revenue forecasting, expense budgeting, partner deal modeling, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and sales team quota-setting. Prior to joining Google in 2002, he was Sales Controller for B2B online community the Global Trading Web, and Commercial Director for EXPO’98 – Lisbon, Portugal. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate finance at PNC Bank and Australia New Zealand Banking Group. Blum joins from Fenwick & West, a law firm specializing in technology and life science matters, where he was Partner in the Intellectual Property Group. There he headed the firm's transactional privacy and data security practice, and was Chair of its Privacy and Information Security Group. During his career, Blum has run numerous technology-related commercial transactions and has served clients from a broad range of industries including semiconductor, telecoms, networking, enterprise and consumer software, and Internet specialists. Blum also spent several years as a management consultant for Deloitte. ‘Both Michael and Julio have been tremendously influential in shaping their respective fields, and their combination of deep domain expertise and practical experience will bring immediate and lasting value to Quantcast and our customers,’ said Feldman.
