Amy LiptonIn the US, gaming industry operator WMS Industries has appointed Amy Lipton as Vice President of Marketing, in charge of market research, advertising, promotions, interactive, PR and trade shows.

WMS designs, manufactures and markets video and reel-spinning gaming machines, video lottery terminals and in-gaming operations.

Lipson joins with more than 25 years’ global marketing experience – mostly gained at IBM, where held a number of marketing and executive roles since 1982. These positions included Director of Global Marketing for Digital Media, Director of Global Marketing for Media and Entertainment, and Director, Global Marketing for Business Process Management.

She previously served as a Marketing Executive for IBM's wireless e-business services in the Americas and was responsible for creating brand leadership for a portfolio of wireless services, including IBM's mobile communications, wireless payment initiatives, smart card services and electronic device management.

In her new role, Lipton will serve on the company’s Executive Committee, reporting to EVP, Global Products and Chief Innovation Officer, Larry Pacey.

‘Combining Amy’s expertise with her digital media and network technology experience will be instrumental in guiding WMS' future strategy as the leader in innovating compelling gaming experiences,’ states President, Orrin Edidin.
