Double Helix US
June 30 2010

Rebekkah Carney has joined the US staff of independent healthcare research consultancy Double Helix as Vice President, MedTech Prime Market Research, based in its office outside Philadelphia in Fort Washington, PA.

Established in London 1995 and in the US since 2004, Double Helix helps clients in pharmaceutical, biotech and device markets to develop their brands and businesses through custom research.

In her new role, Carney will hone the firm’s market strategy. She brings seventeen years of market research experience in medical devices, and has spent the last decade supporting the global market research needs of manufacturers for diagnostics, implants, surgical tools and disposables, capital equipment and software/hardware, at companies including GfK Healthcare, Health Products Research and Alcon Laboratories.

Her experience in challenging environments includes working to establish an office as District Manager in Russia for a U.S. medical device manufacturer and designing and conducting research for first-in-class surgical products. She holds a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, and a BA in French and Political Science from Mount Holyoke.

President Jim Goldenberg says the hire ‘further enhances Double Helix’ already strong custom qualitative and quantitative client focused research solutions in medical devices and diagnostics.’ He adds: ‘Rebekkah has meaningful experience in areas we believe have very strong client needs that are mostly untapped in healthcare market research.’
