In the US, travel and hospitality research specialist Rubicon has named Rao Avasarala as EVP of Enterprise Solutions.
He brings more than seventeen years of experience in pricing, demand management, market research, consumer and shopper insights in sectors from hospitality and media to industrial manufacturing and consumer packaged goods. Most recently, he was VP of CPG Solution Management at SymphonyIRI Group (formerly IRI) for more than five years. Prior to this he worked at Zilliant, Manugistics and Talus Solutions.
He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Auburn University and an undergraduate degree from Andhra University in India.
In his new role Avasarala will serve as a member of the management team and will lead the firm’s enterprise services efforts including the enhancement of service offerings and new business development.
According to President and CEO Tim Hart, ‘Having delivered solutions within and beyond the travel industry, Rao will bring fresh insights into how market intelligence can best be applied to its highest value use.’
