Jeffrey TanMedia and communications group Starcom has appointed Jeffrey Tan as National Research & Insights Director, reporting to Bertilla Teo, CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), Greater China.

Tan rejoins the agency from Mindshare China, where he served as Head of the Consumer Insights division. He has more than 10 years' marketing research experience, including time as Head of Insights at Starcom Singapore.

In his new role, based in Shanghai, Tan will be working with the research and strategy teams to generate a deeper understanding of consumers' media and communications interactions. He will also support the planning teams to identify and prioritise clients' research needs, and address those needs through custom insights and/ or advanced analytics approaches.

Tan joins new colleagues Jonathan Hsia, General Manager of Starcom China’s digital division and Caterina Camerata, Starcom Shanghai’s Human Experience Strategy Director.
